Privacy Policy

Oh Rover, LLC d/b/a Every Wag (“Oh Rover,” “Every Wag,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile application, web-based products, and website (collectively, the “Services”). By using our Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Information
We collect the following personal information when you create an account or use our Services:
- Name
- Email address
- Location (if you grant permission)
- Pet-related data (e.g., pet name, breed, weight, health logs, photos)
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
When you use our Services, we automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- Device and usage information (e.g., device type, operating system, app version)
- IP address
- Analytics data via Mixpanel, which may include unique device identifiers and specific actions you take within the App (such as screens visited and buttons clicked) to help us identify bugs and usability issues. You can opt out of this collection at any time in the App Settings.
1.3 User-Generated Content
We store the notes, photos, health logs, and other content you input related to your pets.
1.4 Website and Contact Form Information
If you contact us through our website at everywag.com or submit a demo request or inquiry form, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, clinic or organization name, and the content of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and, where you have indicated interest, to provide information about our products and services.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- Providing and improving the functionality of our Services
- Customizing your experience based on species and health data
- Sending notifications, reminders, and updates
- Generating pet care summaries and insights
- Communicating via email (e.g., onboarding, tips, and promotions via MailerLite)
- Analyzing app and website usage to improve performance and usability
- Identifying and resolving bugs and technical issues
- Responding to inquiries submitted through our website contact forms
- Protecting the security and integrity of our Services
- Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our terms
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- With trusted third-party service providers we use to operate the Services, such as MailerLite (for email communications) and Mixpanel (for behavioral analytics), under written confidentiality agreements. These providers are located in the United States and are contractually obligated to keep your data safe and use it only for the services we ask them to provide.
- With people you choose to share your pet’s care with, such as a family member or caretaker, but only if you invite them and explicitly grant them access.
- With veterinary professionals (“clinics”) you choose to link to through the Every Wag App, as described in Section 4.
- As required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Every Wag, our users, or others.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, in which case we will notify you before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Clinic Linking and Data Sharing
If you choose to connect your Every Wag account to a veterinary clinic through the Care Connect feature, this section explains how that works and what information is shared.
4.1 How Linking Works
Sharing data with a clinic is initiated only when you choose to link your account to that clinic through the Every Wag mobile App. Clinics may invite you to connect through the platform, and Every Wag provides tools to facilitate these invitations. Linking is always a voluntary action taken by you. A clinic may not require or pressure you to link your account as a condition of receiving veterinary care, and your decision not to link does not affect the care you receive.
4.2 Information Shared With a Linked Clinic
Once you link to a clinic, the following information becomes visible to that clinic through the Care Connect platform:
- Your name and email address
- Pet profile information including, name, species, breed, neutered/spayed status, microchip number and other pet profile information, other than notes, for pets assigned to that clinic
- All data entries and their notes for health charts of linked pets.
- Care plan progress, including the completion status of care guides assigned to you by the clinic
Your personal notes entered in the Every Wag App are not visible to any clinic. Clinics are required by their agreement with Every Wag to use your information solely for the purpose of providing veterinary care to your pets.
4.3 File Sharing
You may, at your sole discretion, choose to share files or other content with a linked clinic through the Every Wag App. File sharing is an opt-in feature that you must expressly enable on a per-file basis. A clinic may not require or extract files from you outside of this mechanism.
4.4 Clinic Communications
Once linked, a clinic may send you care-related communications through the platform, including care guide reminders, appointment information, discharge follow-up messages, practice announcements, and two-way messages. These communications are related to your pet’s care. You may unlink from the clinic’s Care Connect account at any time to stop receiving these communications.
4.5 Unlinking From a Clinic
You may unlink from a clinic’s Care Connect account at any time through the Every Wag App. Upon unlinking, the clinic will no longer receive updated information from your account. For instructions on how to unlink, please visit our FAQ at https://www.everywag.com/pet-care-blog?tag=faq
4.6 Data Retained by the Clinic After Unlinking or Account Deletion
If you unlink from a clinic or delete your Every Wag account, a snapshot of your pet information and any files or care guides shared while your accounts were linked will be retained by the clinic for veterinary record-keeping purposes. Every Wag provides the clinic with export tools to retrieve and manage this data. Once exported, such data is the clinic’s sole responsibility. Any retained data is no longer associated with an active Every Wag account and exists as part of the clinic’s patient records.
If you have questions about records retained by a clinic after unlinking or account deletion, please contact your clinic directly.
4.7 Anonymous Care Guide Access
Clinics may generate care guide links that do not require you to have an Every Wag account. These links display only your pet’s name and the clinic’s contact information. No personal information about you as the pet owner is required to access or is displayed on these pages. These links expire 7 days after the guide’s length determined by the professional.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the Every Wag mobile App or by contacting us at privacy@everywag.com.
Please note that if you have linked to a clinic, records shared with that clinic during the linked period are retained by the clinic for veterinary record-keeping purposes as described in Section 4.6. To request removal of records held by a clinic, please contact that clinic directly.
6. Your Choices and Rights
You have the following choices regarding your personal information:
- You can update or delete pet profiles and personal information within the App at any time.
- You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send or by contacting us at privacy@everywag.com.
- You can revoke location permission at any time through your device settings.
- You can opt out of Mixpanel behavioral analytics tracking at any time via the Settings page in the App.
- You can request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us at privacy@everywag.com.
- You can unlink from any connected clinic at any time through the App.
- You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at privacy@everywag.com.
7. State-Specific Privacy Rights
7.1 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act:
- The right to know what personal information we have collected about you, including the categories of information, the sources, the business purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- The right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- The right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@everywag.com. We will verify your identity before processing your request. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
7.2 Other State Privacy Laws
Residents of states with applicable consumer privacy legislation (including Florida, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain processing of their personal information. 7.3 Do Not Track
Some web browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no common industry standard for interpreting these signals, our Services do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encrypted connections, secure authentication protocols, and regular system monitoring.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will promptly investigate and notify affected users within the timeframes required by applicable law (including, where applicable, within 30 days as required under Florida’s Information Protection Act). We maintain an internal incident response plan to address such events and take corrective action to prevent future occurrences.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Every Wag Services are intended for use by adults, or by children aged 13 and older with parental consent and supervision. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 without verified parental consent. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without such consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. 10. International Data Transfers
Our Services are operated in the United States. If you are accessing our Services from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using our Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
Our website and App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through our Services.
12. Cookies and Website Analytics
Our website at everywag.com may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to understand how visitors use the site, improve user experience, and support marketing activities. You may adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, though some website functionality may be affected. For more information about how we use cookies on our website, please see our Cookie Policy.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the App at least fourteen (14) days before the change takes effect. The updated policy will be posted with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our Services after a material change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree to the updated policy, you may close your account before the change takes effect.
