We believe the most critical part of pet care happens at home - during recovery, treatment plans, and daily routines. Yet most clinics have no visibility once the client walks out the door. We built Every Wag and Care Connect to change that.
Built from the heart, not a boardroom.
I grew up with a veterinarian father and a veterinary technician mother, and a clinic on our family farm. Animals were never just pets in our house — they were patients, family, and a way of life. I've seen the full range of emotions that come with caring for an animal: the joy, the confusion, the fear, and the grief.
Josh has spent his life with dogs as loyal companions. Together, we're partners in life and in this company, with over 34 years of experience building software that works for real people under real pressure.
But Care Connect didn't start with a business plan. It started with our dog, Gryffin.
After his emergency splenectomy, we left the hospital with one sheet of paper and a lot of uncertainty — anxious about his incision, unsure what was normal, struggling to remember what the oncologist said. We experienced exactly what every pet owner experiences after a procedure: trying your best, but questioning yourself the whole way. We were lucky — we could call our parents. Most people can't.
We realized discharge instructions still lived on a single sheet of paper, the same way they did in the eighties. We knew there had to be a better way.
That's why we built Every Wag to support owners with everyday preventative care, and Care Connect to give clinics a way to reach clients with interactive, step-by-step care guides — when they need them most, not a static page they'll skim once and set aside.
We have no investors, no outside stakeholders. The clinics who trust Care Connect are the only people we answer to — and behind every one of them is a pet and a family doing their best.
