Why am I not receiving notifications?

If you are not receiving notifications from the app there are few things we can try to ensure everything is set up properly.

Make sure notifications are enabled for the event

Ensure that you have notifications enabled on the Every Wag event that you created.

  1. Click on the event and go to edit
  2. Check to ensure "Enable notifications" is toggled to on (blue means it's on)

Ensure everything is setup properly in your phone's settings

Check in your phone's settings, that the app has notifications enabled.

NOTE: This will be slightly different on all phones:

  1. Go to "Settings"
  2. Then to "Apps"
  3. Find the "Every Wag" app and click it
  4. Under the app information click on "Notifications"
  5. Ensure all notifications are toggled to on

Android users should check battery settings

If Android, check your battery omptimazation settings for the app.

NOTE: This will be slightly different on all phones:

  1. Go to "Settings"
  2. Then to "Apps"
  3. Find the "Every Wag" app and click it
  4. Under the app information click on "App battery usage"
  5. Allow background usage should be toggled to on
  6. Click on the text that says "Allow background usage" (it may not look like a button)
  7. You should then see two options, "Optimized" and "Unrestricted".
  8. Make sure Unrestricted is selected, this should let the notifications send.
